know if you have any information regarding the car.
Trevor says a quarter-light is broken and it looks a

The following has been reported to me by our
coordinator Helmut. Thanks to Peter also.
It is interesting to hear that a whistle was used to
alert neighbours and this seems to have had an effect
in making the youths leave the area.
~~~~~~~
Today, in Dona Pepa at 6am 3 males, approx 20yrs or younger, dark
types, tried to find an easy way into a home in
Conjunto Granada,Dona Pepa.
The owner woke up and used a whistle to alarm the
neighbours. The 3 guys withdraw but threw oranges at
the owner when he opened the front door.
One of the guys was possibly seen the night before.
No description of the persons was given except that
they had "wide trousers".
Our coordinator Dave had information regarding thattempted break in at Con Granada -
Dona Pepa, my neighbour in Con Primavera (Next door to
Granada) also had an attempted break in just after
05:30 this morning, his window alarm woke him up and
he scared them off by shouting, he has no description,
He also had an attempted break in at the same glassed
veranda a week ago at about the same time, he scared
them off but did manage to see 3 males running away,
no real description but he thought they were European.
Our treasurer, Phil, sends this report.
Friends of our neighbour were returning to the airport this morning (1130ish)
from Beuno Vista Golf 9 at Quesada and stopped to dump rubbish in the bin.
A maroon car with 3 young 'Spanish' guys pulled up and asked for directions in Spanish.
On being told they didn't speak Spanish and couldn't help them, they drove off but pulled up a few yards away
and one guy returned to the friend's car and signalled to the driver to open the window.
He couldn't find the right button (hire car) and opened the door whereupon the guy leaned in and snatched a bag containing
a camera and mobile phone and then ran and jumped into the maroon car closely followed by the driver of the other car who
managed to get hold of the rear windscreen wiper - which broke off and the chap was injured.
Our Spanish speaking neighbour telephoned the police who attended shortly afterwards and said they were already
looking for a maroon car for other offences in the area.
It is a maroon hatchback, possibly a Seat, which now has the back wiper missing.
The hire car was an obvious target because not only did it still have the hire car sticker on the back
but the luggage was piled in the boot and not covered.
They were very lucky that they only lost a telephone and a camera - although one man has an injured leg and cut hand and a ruined leather jacket.
Thanks to our treasurer Phil for this report.
"Just learned of a bag snatch in Calle Granite, Benimar II at lunchtime today.
3 'Spanish' guys in a black car stopped to ask way, told the occupants didn't understand and drove
off a short distance, one came back wrenched the car door open and grabbed handbag containing cards,
cash, residencia card etc. No other details except that there were other people standing within a few
feet of the incident and it was over in seconds and they couldn't do anything to help.
These guys are obviously very practised at this!"
Thanks to our coordinator Lorraine for this report...
I have to report a break in today Friday at Conjunto Sandra Dona Pepa II. It
occurred between 5.00pm and 6.30 pm. Fortunately nothing was taken
although entry was made. One male sat in a red golf car was seen by another
neighbour earlier and by the person staying in the house that was broken
into but unfortunately no other details are available. The grille (which
had three bolts) and the back door were gemmied open. The police believe
they were after mobile phones or cash as other items including a laptop
were on full view and not touched.
We have had a quiet period of late and this house is not normally
occupied the people staying there had only been there for a couple of days.
Reported by our coordinator Roger
A break in took place on friday opposite Mariola on urb Lo Marabu. They
used a pole to scoop keys off table,took wallet credit cards ,then unlocked the car and took the radio. The owners
went to bed leaving ground floor window open ajar.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This was reported to our secretary Helen
A car was left unattended whilst the owner was delivering cards in Las Palmeras, Dona Pepa
- just a few yards from her vehicle. Whilst she was not looking, a car drew up across the end of the street and another man
removed her handbag from her car and made his escape being driven off in the maroon coloured car at the end of the street.
The police were informed.
Fortunately the bag and contents - minus purse and mobile- were returned to her home the next morning
but this just shows that the opportunist thief is on the look out. Please be careful at all times.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Reported by our coordinator Don - attemped breakin at Calle Leon/Los Regantes(Canal Road
Just to report at what looks like a failed attempt to break in but possibly disturbed.
First of all this morning noticed a trampled plant in small garden near window but later on this morning
further up the garden a tree near the wall (canal side) one of the branches broken and discovered about
10 tiles loose on top of wall where entry or exit had been made. No entry to house, believed it happened
yesterday as out most of day. Police have been informed.
At approx midday yesterday (Saturday) there was an
attempted bag-snatch from a car parked on the spare
land opposite Gamma, Dona Pepa. Details are sketchy as
it happened so fast but the man opened the car door,
tried to take the bag, then ran off to a waiting car
when the bag owner foiled the attempt.
PLEASE do not let your guard down when in the areas of
shops...especially Dona Pepa.
Thanks to Dez for notifying us.
A second incident this day reported by our coordinator Dave. He reports
an attempted break-in at
Primavera, Dona Pepa in the early hours of this
morning
The tenants were staying over in Benidorm and had left
the shutters up and the lounge window open to allow
the cat to go in and out. The burglars used a long
bamboo pole with a hook on it (which was left behind)
to hook out a spare set of keys which were on the TV
table. They tried to unlock the security door but
evidently used the wrong key which broke off in the
lock. Whilst I understand that the same key also
fits the roadside door it appears that NO entry was
made, nothing was taken apart from the keys.
I have spoken to the tenants and advised them to have
all the locks changed.
There was a break in at Elena, Dona Pepa 11 last night. The owners went out
at approximately 7 pm,after locking up although they were unsure if they
actually switched on their alarm.
They returned about 9.30pm and found that they had been broken into and that
their laptop computer, flat screen t.v. and camera had been stolen. Their
spare car keys and posibly house keys were also missing.
It appears that the crooks had firstly forced the shutter on the rear ground
floor window, perhaps to test the alarm and see what type of security was
being used on the windows. They then climbed up to the rear bathroom window,
forced off the grill, smashed the window and removed the window securing
bolt . They then removed the windows and climbed in.
Their property backs onto detached villas separated by a wall and it would
appear that this was how the crooks approached the property, via the villa's
property.
Thanks to John Krane for the report
Our coordinator John from Elena, Dona Pepa II, sent this report
About 11.25 hrs today (23/1/06) a lone female
neighbour was at the bank situated at the Euromarina
offices in Dona Pepa 11 .After withdrawing money she
went to her car which was parked outside La Laguna
Hotel and placed her handbag on the passenger seat. As
she was preparing to move off she saw in her side view
mirror a male walk up alongside the car. She
immediately grabbed hold of her handbag. The man
opened the passenger door and tried to grab her bag
but as she was holding it close to her he just
shrugged his shoulders and walked away.
He is described as white european, possibly British or
East European. He was about 30 years of age with quite
short hair, 5' 8 approximately ,stocky build, wearing
a denim jacket.He was of quite presentable appearance.
He is thought to have entered a light coloured car
(possible light green or grey) and drove in the
Guadamar direction. He did not say anything and did
not use any violence towards her.
Thanks to our coordinator Maggie for this information.
Break in at Sol, Dona Pepa II
The break in occurred at approximately 9.30 p.m. on
Sunday 29th January.
The couple concerned were advised that they didn't
need security grills upstairs but they do have an
alarm system. The thief climbed up to their balcony
and entered their front bedroom. The thief stole a
camera and jewellery but s/he was picked up by the
sensor before s/he was able to steal further items.
Neighbours heard the alarm and came out to check but
didn't notice anything untoward about the houses in
that block. Presumably, the thief hid until the
neighbours disappeared.
The couple who were burgled had returned from England
the previous day. They had a lot to do before going
out on the Sunday and may not have been as vigilant as
they usually are. They are not certain that they
locked the balcony door and didn't put the shutter
down because they only intended being out for a short
time.
We all make mistakes when we are busy and rushing.
The couple realise how fortunate they have been
because they could have lost a great deal more. They
have learned from the experience and so can we.
Thanks to Peter for this report.
Our neighbours were robbed outside the bricolage in Montesinos (Near Torre Hotel).
A smartly dressed spanish looking man knocked on the passenger car window,
just as they were about to leave the car park. He immediately opened the car door, snatched the handbag, ran to a waiting car and speeded off. This happened Wednesday 8th Feb. lunch time.
Our neighbour got the registration number. A Renault Megane, Black, Reg DHR 3423.
Thanks to Roger for these reports.
About 1930hrs last night (last Thursday) a couple
arrived, in a hire car from Alicante airport, at Urb
Malibú, Doña Pepa II, and stopped briefly in Avenida
de Huelva.
A med sized white car containing 3 men pulled up close
behind one got out and came up to their car, opened
the door and, after engaging the woman passenger in
'conversation', tried unsuccessfully to grab her
handbag. Her husband was able to drive away and the
robber, a smallish man, age about 25, of Mediterranean
appearance, ran back to the car & drove off
~~~~~~~~~~~
At about 3am today (Tuesday) one of the dogs on Malibú
woke his owners. On investigation 2 men were seen on
the urb, but,despite very prompt police attendence
they got away.They were in the garden of the people
who were the near-victims of the bagsnatch, already
mentioned. AND this afternoon the same family
disturbed a woman in their kitchen!!! They are feeling
victimised.
The woman was black with streaky, badly-dyed blonde
hair, and probably about 35-45, wearing a long white
coat. She , too, escaped.

Thank you to Margaret for the report and very sound
advice at the end of it.
A couple stopped their car in the area (Dona Pepa 1)to
look at a house from the road. They didn't get out of
the car and were only there a few moments when the
passenger door of their English car was opened and a
handbag snatched from between the lady's legs. A
beige getaway car was waiting for the thief and he
escaped very quickly before anyone could get a good
description of the thieves or the car. Passports,
keys, a substantial amount of money and other
important documents were stolen. We are all advised
to travel light but, at times, it is necessary to
carry such documents and, on these occasions, we need
to be even more vigilant. Do we always lock ourselves
in the car? Some people don't feel happy about this.
Someone suggested that, if it is necessary to have a
handbag, lock it in boot or attach the strap to the
seat belt connection.

Thanks to John for this report.
Just been told by a female neighbour that about 10a.m. this morning (23 rd Feb)
she was parking outside Laurel & Hardy's Restaurant, Dona Pepa Estate, when she
was approached by a man who told her , in broken English, that she could not park there due to roadworks.
Whilst talking to this man she saw another man alight from a very smart looking silver car that had
just pulled up behind her.The car looked like a BMW but the man looked very scruffy and she thought
that something was not right. She immediately locked all her doors just as this scruffy man grabbed
hold of her passenger door handle and tried to open her door. Both men then jumped into the BMW and drove off.
The men are described as of mediterranean appearance, aged approx 25-35 years of age and scruffy in appearance.
A third male was the driver of the vehicle.
There are road works being carried out around this area so there are parking restrictions. It would appear that the crooks are using this fact to engage in conversation with their victims whilst their colleagues are trying to steal from the vehicle.

Reported incident from the Marquesa Golf Course, Buena
Vista Golf 2 apartments, this afternoon.
A forced entry into an apartment making so much noise
that a neighbour called the police as he knew the
owner had gone back to UK this morning.
The door grill was completely jemmied off and the
whole door broken. Thieves took a tv and sky box but
as yet, until the owner checks the apartment, it is
not known what else was taken. Thieves drove off in
his car so obviously found the keys....
A Rover, model Streetwise, light blue in colour reg
BUO4YGC
Police arrived 5 mins after thieves sped off.
It has been noted that workmen were in an overlooking villa.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another break=in on this day
at Zona Balsa, Mar Mediterraneo
(near the golf course). This happened between 6.30 and
8.30 in the evening. The door grill and door were
jemmied. The thieves came well equipped as they
jemmied the safe from the wall. It was stolen along
with the contents. Small items from the house were
also taken eg camera. There was no alarm.
This break-in took place a stones throw from the other
one reported earlier that day...same mode of entry.
Thanks to Maggie for the following report.
During the early hours of Saturday morning, 18th
March, a holidaymaker heard someone on her balcony.
She tapped the window and the intruder made a quick
exit. The intruder managed to take the car keys and
stole the hire car.
The holiday maker believes that the windows and grills
were all locked. She didn't put the shutters down
because she was not made aware that this was necessary
by the owner of the property. The house is not
occupied very often and, presumably, the thieves had
noticed that it was now occupied and believed it would
be an easy target. Fortunately, the intruder did not
enter the house. Later on residents found two bamboo
canes taped together with metal hooks attached. These
could be used to hook keys?
On a much more positive note, a resident of Sol has
had her jewellery returned thanks to an e mail from
Rojales Neighbourhood Watch.
Thanks to Mark the following report
Info reported to me from one of our property owners
who are out on holiday.
On Saturday morning (25/03/06) on Mariola complex
Dona Pepa II, the owners
of the property returned home from shopping, whilst
unloading their car the
lady of the house left her handbag near the door of
the property which she
thought was out of view, she then saw a male
described as a young morrocan
male enter the property next door, the male engaged
the owners into
conversation asking for an address of which they
didnt know, he then pointed
to the row of houses opposite as both the owners
looked towards the property
opposite the male jumped the wall grabbed the hand
bag jumped back into next
door and ran out of the gate he then ran to a car
which was parked down the
road, the male owner of the property chased after
them but they escaped.
Passport, door keys, some cash credit cards etc were
all in the bag. The
incident has been reported to Guadia Civil in
Almoradi.
The car used was described as being small, similar
to a Nissan Micra it was
silver in colour and the registration number was
6724 DKK.
A keyholder, was driving up Calle Galicia when he saw
a black Audi parked outside the house he has the key
for. men came out and drove away. He noticed them but
as the owner is in Spain at the moment, he was not too
suspicious. The men were of Moroccan appearance and
smartly dressed, like reps.
Alarm company phoned key holder who lives 2 doors away
but when he went to the villa nobody was there.He had
probably seen the robbers as they made their escape.
House had a monitored alarm but no grills. Burglars
broke in by prising the sliding windows open. When the
alarm went off they ripped it from the wall. They
riffled 2 bedrooms before leaving through patio doors.
Police attended. Just a mobile phone was taken.
Men were in their 20s and one was at least 6ft 2
Car is a black Audi 4 door, A4 or 6
This car has been sighted before in Quesada this week.
Keep your eyes open.
At about 0815 this morning (Wednesday) Burglar was
disturbed at premises on Avenida Del Teide, near
Entry made by smashing toughened glass at front of
premises. Nothing was stolen as he was disturbed by a
neighbour who was walking his dog. He was followed,
but unfortunately he jumped over a wall and made good
his escape.
Described as Male, Eastern European, in his 20's,
Blonde hair, flat face, large eyes. He was wearing a
yellow anorak type coat, black trousers and trainers.
Last seen in the area between Avenida Del Teide and
what is known as the Star Roundabout.
Thanks to our coordinator John R, for this report.
There has been a break-in at a neighbour's in Sabina V11 at about 11.30 on 12/04. Entry
through grilles and a window using only a claw hammer. They stole a safe
(not fixed but it would probably take two people to lift it!) and various
other items. No one was seen in the area at that time but 3 nights
previously a man was apprehended in the area. He escaped and ran off into
the Sabina V11 area. He is described as Eastern European with long blonde
curly hair. He spoke English. No vehicle in evidence.
The following is from our co-ordinator Roger.
In the early hours of this morning, Easter Saturday, there was a
break-in on Malibú.
The victims are visitors who hadn't locked-down their blinds, so it was the usual MO:
window forced, keys & bag 'fished' and the owners locked-in.Losses were the woman's passport,
cash, and camera, but the hire car wasn't taken(car-park locked).
No-one was seen, but the man woke when they put the key in the
door-lock, so they didn't enter the property.
~~~~~~~~~~
Our co-ordinator Joan sent the following report
Another break in this time in Quesada Avenida Aeroporta Saturday Evening between 9.30-11.30 pm
These people are not holiday makers and are very responsible.
Lights were left on in the house but as the street lights are out an opportunist perhaps.
Two watches mobiles camera and other small items.
Police in attendance and were very polite and helpful

Incident at the car wash on CV 905 near Lidl Torrevieja. as reported by Colin.
My wife, on her own, called in at the above car wash on Tuesday 18th. April at 12.20.
Having all her valuables about her person and no handbag she removed the keys from the
ignition but did not lock the car. Having washed the car she was just replacing the
lance in the holder when she was approached by a medium height reasonable dressed,
dark skin individual brandishing coins and talking rapidly in Spanish, but clearly
indicating he was looking for change for the machine. My wife thought he was plausible
for a second but then pointed him in the direction of the office. She then got into her
car and as is her normal procedure she pressed the button that locks all the doors.
This did not function and the indicator showed that there was a door open.
Looking across at the passenger door she saw that it was about 8cm. ajar.
She then recalled that while she was dealing with the man looking for change
she had noticed a second person. The potential thieves obviously left empty
handed and by the time my wife left the car wash they had disappeared.
Another timely warning particularly for women on their own.

Thank you to Camelia of Projovi, Quesada.
Just in front of us in the new shop.I have seen three brown complexion ladies,
one of them with a child on her arms, wearing what seems typical dresses from Peru
(long black skirts and white blouse) with long black hair in a ponytail.
they have entered the shop and they have tried to take the laptop, but fortunately
nothing happens as there were two more persons in the shop.
Then they have entered our office wanted to buy or rent a house and while one of them
was waiting at the door another was walking around our computer but finally they have left the office.
Then they have get in a Renault Laguna, dark green, with a French registration number.

parked near the Information Centre and we didn't see or hear anything. The
window was smashed and a handbag was stolen from the boot. Fortunately,
there was nothing of value in the handbag and the thieves did not steal the
expensive bird watching equipment. However, this was the last day of their
holiday and they would have to spend it sorting out the Denuncia. They had
been advised that thieves target areas where tourists stop to look at the
birds but they didn't expect the car to be broken into in a relatively busy
car park.

Neighbours of mine arrived from Iceland on Friday morning, left their
suitcases in the house went to the supermarket, and whilst they were
unloading their shopping back at the house a car pulled up and asked them
the way to a golf course. The people in the car were Spanish and it wasn't
until they had unpacked all the shopping they realised the ladies handbag
was missing. They cannot even recall anyone getting out of the other car
but they must have. Their English is very limited but they must have been
followed from the supermarket, maybe even from the airport. They had not
been told to take the hire car stickers off the car. Unfortunately because
they didnt expect any wrong doing they could not recall any details about
the car. The robbers had the spare set of keys for the house in the handbag
so they had to go to the bother of having the locks changed immediately.
They managed to stop their credit cards and cash cards but someone tried to
use them about ten minutes after the robbery but didnt have the correct pin
number.

a break-in occurred at his villa Calle Galicia
at approx. 5.30 this morning he woke as the handle on his bedroom door
sqeaked down. He has his young grandson visiting Him, so he shouted his
name...is that you? and heard someone go down the stairs.
Still thinking it was his grandson, he went back to sleep.
In the morning he found the sliding windows to the conservatory open,
the sliding patio doors to the house open and the lock snapped, drawers
in the dining room open. Nothing appeared to have taken.
Although they have a monitored alarm, they did not have it turned on because
of the visitors.
~~~~~~~~~
Been reported to me this afternoon, that a t 3.15am on the same morning
(thursday) as the C/Galicia incident, our neighbours, in C/Sorolla, Quesada, disturbed burglers, because their dog raised the alarm.
The burglers had taken out the patio window, to gain entry.
The property is alarmed, and was switched on, however, the dog disturbed the
sleeping owners before they gained entry to the house and the burglers were chased off,
one of whom was injured as he shinned up the perimeter wall,
as blood was found in that area.
The incident was reported to the police, and a description given.
The two men of Eastern European appearance were in a Silver saloon car,
similar to a Vauxhall Calibra. The registgration is 8693 BCC.
reverse into them.
A house in Residencial Carmen 1 (the bottom of Dona Pepa in the corner near the Cv 90.)
was broken into last night - new owners in at the time.
Slept through. Entrance was achieved by taking a chair from a neighbours house
and lifting the shutter, forced open the window and fished the keys which were
in the front door.
Not too much taken cash being the main item and two bags,
all the keys were left in the road and the bags were emptied across the street.
~~~~~~~~~~
Our neighbours on Urb. Malibú, got 'fished' at 0130 today when they
didn't pull the front shutter all the way down.
Money & a DVD player was taken.
Our dog barked, her "alarm" bark, at about that time & I let her out,
but didn't see/hear anyone.

I write to report a break in here on our urbanisation at Marquesa IX
(by the Golf Course on way to Rojales). The incident was reported to the local police
and the Guardia. It was discovered that the thieves had probably got in
by climbing over the roof which connects the houses on to their terrace
then down the stairs to the courtyard, and it also
appeared that they had got out the same way. For anyone who lives in a
'Blue Top' please take care to ensure that windows in the courtyard are
secured when leaving the property - it is very easy to forget to do
this.
The owners went out for dinner on Sunday evening about 8.45 and on
returning shortly before midnight they realized that their daughter's
hire car was missing, a Vauxhall Zafira. On entering their villa they
could see that there had been a break in. The thieves had wrenched the
bars off the shower room window which we think might not have been
locked given that there was no damage to the window itself. Apart from
the car the thieves also got away with a cini-camera, £100 sterling, a
purse (credit cards inside) and a mobile phone. Fortunately they did
not take passports.

Two reports today, thanks to coordinators Roger and Maggie
In the early hours of this morning residents in Sol,
heard some noises during the night. This morning a resident found a rod made
out of bamboo canes with a hook on the end. The thieves had taken the canes
out of a garden. One resident is unsure as to whether he left a downstairs
window open and thinks a camera has been stolen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2 houses on Urb Malibú were attacked last night (Sunday).
As the windows were properly secured an attempt was made to break the door-handles,
one brass handle being broken-off in the process and another slightly damaged.
Neither house was entered and nothing was taken.
(This appears to be a new MO, on this urb anyway.)
Pueblo Bravo Apartment Block 22 -
Two apartments had handbags etc fished through grills where patio windows
had been left open. The incidents happened between 03.00hrs and 07.00 hrs
on Tuesday July 4th.
Three brush handles were taken and tied together with pieces of a mop
head and a clothes line. Wire had been tied together to make a three
pronged fork head which was used to hook items from inside the properties.
The tools they made were left in the garden of one of the properties.
A third property had towels taken from the line.
In the early hours of Saturday morning we think the same thieves
returned and targeted one of the properties where a handbag
had been taken containing cash and apartment keys. The occupiers,
who were holidaymakers had the locks changed after the breakin.
The thieves snapped the lock on the security grills and forced the patio door open.
The holidaymakers slept through the breakin.
The thieves did'nt get
away with much as they had most of their possessions in the bedroom.
On returning to our house from the Golf club restaurant last sat.night @ around 12-30,
we noticed a maroon Jaguar saloon, a current model ' S' type on spanish reg. plates,
parked outside the next door house.very posh & very rare in these parts we thought.
When we went in to unlock our house we found our Kitchen Door Grill had been forced open,
but nothing touched or missing in the house. We ran round to the front of the house to see
the Jag. speeding off towards the swimming pool end of the road & round the bend.
We did not report incident to police as nothing taken & we didn't need a crime no.
Report of handbag snatch on Conjunto ZAMBRA, La Fiesta 1, Quesada.
(On roundabout near Parque Recorral)
About 4.15 - 4 .30pm this afternoon (Tuesday 8th) a lady returning home from lunch had her handbag stolen.
She returned by car, went to her front door and left her handbag on the patio whilst she said goodbye to the person who dropped her off.
As she stood by her front gate a male of Morroccan appearance, jumped over the next door neighbours wall, snatched the handbag from the patio, and ran past her, around the corner to a waiting car.
Car contained one other male and sped off. Described as Silver Picasso. No number. 1 male described as about 30yrs, Morroccan appearance, wearing a White/Blue and Yellow striped "T" shirt and long cream shorts.
Bag contained small amount of cash, Bank Card and Residencia. Card Stopped.
Break in this afternoon between 13.50 and 15.30 at house on Avenida Garcia
Rubira. The owners, over for a break decided to go out for lunch. When they
returned the front grille and door were open and damaged.
Thieves had tried to gain access via a side window, but after getting the
grille off, they couldn't get through the window because of the central
window lock. They must have then attacked the front door jemmying open the
grille and the front door. Leaving the lock intact, the door splintered
completely because it was only an internal panelled door
Once inside they ransacked the bedroom at will. Luckily nothing
of great value was stolen, biggest problem was that keys appear to be
missing, meaning all locks to be changed.
Passing police stopped and very helpful. Owner return to UK Sunday, so rush
to get repairs done.
Unfortunatley we have just had a bag snatch on our urbanisation at the bottom of Dona Pepa.
There were 3 cleaners upstairs 4 people gardening next door and the
owners of the house (owned and been in the house for five minute).
Then two dark skinned men came into the garden and one asked about
the boiler at the side of the house. Whilst he was showing them,
the other one entered the house and took the bag with the usual
in passport wallet creditcards. They got away and no one had a very good description.
His German neighbour was broken into and jewelery and their car was stolen.
The car is a silver metallic Volvo BKS 9412
The owner is guessing that the burglary happened at around 1am this morning
while he was in the bathroom before going to bed.
The main door was closed but not locked. Entry was made by lifting the patio door
from its housing. When he came out of the bathroom, he locked the main door
and went to bed. The main door was still locked this morning when he discovered his loss.
The family were going on holiday this morning and had packed suitcases and filled
the car with petrol.
Guardia and local police have been informed.
Community is near the Parque el Re corral, Los Celestina.
Yesterday at about 2.30pm, a young lady was at the telephone kiosk
at the corner of C/Ascencion and Ave Garcia Rubira when a youth on a
motorcycle drove up to her and cut her handbag from her arm.
She ran off screaming and he made his getaway before anyone realised
what had happened.
Although this is less than 100yards from my front door, by the time
I heard the screams both parties had disappeared. The police were called,
but there was little anyone could do.
As this is a residential area most people just visit the phone kiosk with
the minimum of personal possessions. This time the perpetrator was lucky,
and the victim unlucky.
One again the lesson must be - when at the phone kiosk be aware of slowing
traffic, you become a victim of a bag snatch.
~~~~~~~~~
Friday lunchtime a couple were robbed in the street between
conjuntos Rocio and Macarena. Just arrived in the close and
two men followed them in in a grey Ford Ka. Both men got out
of the Ka to help them park. One man got back in the Ka and the other
reached in and stole the lady's handbag - in full view of several of
the occupants of the street. The Ka did a many point turn and reversed
down the road to allow the other man to get in. It drove off at speed.
Unfortunately no one got the registration number but descriptions of the men
are:Well dressed; long sleeved distinctive check shirt (on a hot day).
Dark hair mid 30s.
Just be aware of "helpful" strangers even in broad daylight
